"This is a very tranquil place to stay, nestled in beautiful hills with some very pleasant nearby towns--in particular, Sicignano degli Alburi. We attended a large family reunion in Sicignano, and Mariangela, our hostess at La Tavernola, was very accommodating, allowing a small family photo exhibit on the premises, while also catering a delicious snack ("an evening under the stars") to finish up the weekend. "We had a little trouble with language when booking in, but further than that it was great. Just when you think you are lost you turn into the vineyard with the biggest house I have been in. The bed is huge and very comfortable. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom stunning. Breakfast included a yogurt and lots of baked goods with juice and coffee.
