"The property has been in the family for four generations.It felt like we were staying in a part of history and privileged to be able to share their home. You actually have the entire house and part of the vineyard to enjoy your stay.The hosts were gracious and attentive. We were sad to leave and wished we had booked a few nights more."

"This house was really unique for us for its rustic look and use of natural materials. The beds were comfortable, and there was so much space to relax including huge patio and cozy living room. It might be a bit out of the way from the main road, but it made it feel like a country escape. We had a great time."

"Smal pittoresque village close to Quintas and other very interesting places to visit. This was not the most beautyfull place but it was very practical and functional. It was living among the local peoples. We really appreciated the morning cafe at the central plaza."

"Our group of 10 enjoyed our stay in Penafiel. The property is beautiful - gorgeous sunset, nice pool and a friendly neighbourhood cat. The kitchen has everything that one would need, although it could use a larger kitchen sink! We loved the outdoor bbq and pizza oven. The owner communicated well with us. We highly recommend taking the owner up on the offer to have the Portuguese cook to whip up some excellent Portuguese fare. "

"The accommodation was in a beautiful tranquil setting. We really felt that we had a relaxing break in Celerico de Basto. Lovely pool and even a little lake to row a boat on much to the delight of the children. The kitchen was a slightly strange set up but we soon got used to cooking on the BBQ . "Lovely breathtaking views and nice modern amenities made for a great stay. Responsive and friendly caretaker let us in and replied to questions immediately. Quite secluded and peaceful and about 25 minutes from Regua. Typical country roads to reach it required careful driving. "Neither pictures nor words capture this property. Our group of 8 (2 families) stayed here in August, and the space is spectacular. We spent hours outside - moving between the porch with the stunning views, the pool where the kids played for hours while adults read; and ending the evenings with an outdoor dinner by the grill. "We stayed with two couples for 14 days at this lovely house. Olga and Paulo were fabulous hosts and gave us countless of wonderful tips on what to do and where to eat. Communication was flawless.
