"we did late-check-in. but the way that pass the key was really irresponsible and NOT safe, I think. I didnt realize her contact & 24hour contact didn't work, so we took long time to check-in (Guimaraes might be a safe place, but...😥😫) Also "the reception opens at 10am" is too late. the price is really reasonable if guests don't do late-check-in. "

"A nice apart hotel in Douro Valley. Very reasonably priced. Spacious and clean apartment with parking on premises. Location of the hotel are wrong on both hotels.com and Google Maps. The hotel is at least two more blocks east. Check-in instructions were incomplete making it impossible to open the main door. It took over 1 hour to reach someone after 8pm to get the issue resolved. "

"Loved the pool, very nice hosts, great breakfast, room was nice, however the description of amenities is not accurate - there was not air conditioning in the room, or is there a restaurant or pool side bar, which left us stuck for lunch when enjoying the pool. We booked a rook with river view but did not receive it. That all being said we did enjoy the place - but just beware or what is not accurate "

"The property was gorgeous and well-appointed. Margarida was a very friendly hostess. The room was very large and very quiet. It looked out into a large yard that had beautiful gardens and pool area. "We had 2 rooms and they were both extremely clean and so picturesque. It was a rainy night and our room was a bit chilly but fortunately my son and his girlfriend in the other room prefer a cool room we used the extra blanket in their room and had a cozy sleep. The only less comfortable part was that there was only a single pillow per person and they were a bit small. The breakfast the next morning was amazing, with so much variety and homemade goodness."
