"The unit we had was on the 3rd floor but since the elevator was temporarily out of service, Andre, the manager carried our bags up for us. He was most accommodating. He hand the night assistant, Phillipe is also very helpful. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and there is free parking at the Convento Sao Francisco is a short 5 min walk away and it is open from 7am to Midnight so we parked our car there and either walked or took cabs to any place we wanted. "The staff was immediately friendly and kind. They helped us upgrade our room, leave our bags before check-in, and gave us a tour of the guesthouse. The kitchen was clean and big. The room was beautiful and comfortable. There is no soap or shampoo but it was okay as we brought our own. "

"Safe, walkable, and very close to everything I wanted to walk to. The property sent me a code to enter the bldg the day before my arrival. I arrived at 1:30pm or so, and since my room was almost ready I was given the option to wait in the kitchen, which I did. Therevis no lift and my room was on the 2nd floor but staff always offered me a hand with my bag. Room was minimal but sufficient and efficient. AC worked and wifi worked. "It’s a family business, very peaceful and clean environment. Owner is very friendly. The garden is beautiful and breakfast was delicious. It was homemade and the coffee was the best. Highly recommended."

"When we arrive was a town local band right inthe entrance and 3 tables with old people drinking and so.e people was fight. Was a scary town and scary town. We leave the town right away. Nothing like is in the google, Home app or boking app."

"The apartment made us experience the life in the old city which was nice. But the place was not as shown on the reservation site (the bedroom was not made of stonewalls). "- We didn't receive any check-in info prior to arriving. Check in code didn't work until we were given a new one. - Upon arrival, we were allotted a single room instead of two, and bed sizes were incorrect. - There were no toiletries. When I communicated to Ana, I was asked " why I didn't tell all these things to the cleaning person" when I had the chance. That is not my job nor theirs. The location is good but it is so hard to find because there is only a smal piece of paper stating it is...

"My brother and I had a last minute trip to Portugal and the whole staff/owner here were exceptional. They truly cared and went the extra mile for us. I would be here all day listing them out. The place itself was beautiful, easy to find, clean, safe and peaceful. Couldn’t have asked for more but they should have in terms of £. Thanks again for everything!"

"This was a terrific place to stay. The apartment was clean and spacious with a full kitchen and washing machine. Check in was at a nearby hotel with a parking garage just across the street. It was not a problem for us but there is no elevator to the apartment. The climb up about 30 stairs was worth the view of the main walking area from the apartment. "

"Excellent location with great views, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great breakfast and rooftop views. Very comfortable room and bed. I had read a lot of complaints about the pillows - we loved the memory foam pillows! As for the see through glass door shower and bathroom - not ideal but perfectly fine. It's separate from the bed area. Highly recommend this hotel"

"We LOVED our stay here! Right from when we checked in, we got a glass of champagne and a snack, followed by a wonderful breakfast hand delivered to our room the next morning. Everything was spotless, and the staff was very welcoming. The only thing that you should be aware of is there is no lift, so if you can’t do stairs, ask for a main floor suite. Highly recommend this place in Coimbra! "

"I book this property because I needed an over night stay during my road trip through Portugal. My only regret not staying longer. Staff: Friendly, nice and very accommodating. Accommodations: the property has a unique design with a full service restaurant on the roof. The rooms are just pictured and surprisingly comfortable. Location: Central right by the bridge with shops and sights literally around the corner. Back to the food… I had one of the BEST shrimp dishes I’ve ever had in my life. I’m embarrassed to say it was so good I literally order two of them. Don’t let the concept of the hotel deter you. I had a very enjoyable stay and would stay there again in a heartbeat. "
