"Overall, it’s just an ok experience. The hot spring was pretty good. Comparing to the other hotels we stayed in Japan, our experience of this hotel’s service was below average. We checked in at around 5:30, most of the restaurants were closed at that time. The hotel gave us a map marked with some restaurants, but a note was printed “Please make your own reservation”. Come on, we don’t know Japanese and how could we make reservation? Is it really that hard for the hotel to provide help with...

"Beautiful view over the bay. Lovely lounge open from 9-11 with free snacks and drinks. Fridge and kettle in room. Drying rack for clothes. Sitting area. Hotel is nice in lobby but rooms are quite dated. "

"Monjusou was a fantastic place to stay in Amanohashidate. It is close to the station, less than 5 minutes walk, and very close to all of the great sites to visit. The staff was excellent and treated us very well, and were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was amazing too."
