"We had three nights here. The temperature during the day was very hot and humid, as were the nights. Hibiscus villa has air conditioning and a fridge, which helped to make our stay comfortable. Service is very helpful. We needed a car and driver and this was arranged for us at short notice. Better to give a few days notice. Breakfast on the patio, surrounded by fruit trees and other plants was nice. Room is basic, but comfortable. If you choose to stay here you will be well looked after. "

"The host family is so helpful and kind. They gave great recommendations for things to do and eat as well as the occasional tuk tuk ride after dark. Highly recommend. "

"We spent one night here and wish we had more time to spend here. It is clean, quiet, had great parking and the food was delicious. The staff was great. We had a very comfortable stay and would highly recommend. "

"Love the service, location and the competitive pricing. There are cheaper ones out there for sure but the service here is excellent. Though you may not need the mosquito net provided, I used it and felt comfortable. There’s no AC but I didn’t need it as the temp was cool at night. I would book it again for sure."

Het huis heeft zeer ruime kamers en goede algemene ruimtes, zoals een zitkamer/ eetkamer en mooie veranda’s. Authentiek ingericht. "This was one of the most friendly hotels that we have stayed in for a long time. All of the staff seem to have a genuine interest in making sure that we had a good time and made the most of our stay in Sigiriya. They also organised a couple of trips for us - to Polonnarua and an elephant safari. The first of these was a fascinating day visiting a former capital of Sri Lanka and the second was an afternoon seeing more than a dozen different herds of elephants, some of them just a few metres away from us. Both of these trips were excellent value. However, what makes this place Extra Special is certainly the friendliess of the staff. And the home-cooked food is also of excellent quality. For such a warm welcome this place is very good value and highly recommend recommended"

"Beautiful hotel with breath taking views! The room, staff, and buffet were outstanding. I would recommend power outlets near the bed for best guest experience. Overall it was a memorable and perfect stay for us. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for relaxation and luxury! "

"Terrible conditions in the room. There were bugs, old towels and torn bed sheets. Did not have adequate hot water. Faucet controls were falling off. One of two air conditioners was not working. Pool was not usable, the water was cloudy. This property should be delisted from hotels.com. "
