"Carriage House was an absolute gem! It was stylish, cozy, and spacious. The morning coffee and baked goods for breakfast were outstanding - so good we found the local bakery and got more. It was such a comfortable stay and close enough for us to Rhinebeck. We are definitely planning on making a return trip in the future. "

"There is a tiny little wooden bridge at the entrance of the driveway and the mailbox is on the opposite side of the road from the house. A doe was keeping watch on the mailbox when we arrived after dark. And check out the night sky!"

"The Tin Brook Inn was wonderful as always. David is an excellent proprietor and is very understanding when we have delays in our travel issues. The rooms are so clean. We got the Pear tree room this time, and it was so cozy and perfect for our weekend stay. Breakfast is included, and made on site by the staff. "Our stay was rather disappointing. The property seems neglected. Some lightbulbs in the bathroom were not working . The coffee maker was really filthy inside. Instead of breakfast we were offered some packaged pastry from a gas station. Plus, there were a bunch of insects in the room. "Peace, quiet. Natural beauty. Old hardwoods, and an even older house. It appears parts of this sprawling farm house (the term doesn't do it justice- it's huge!) date back to the early 18th century, and some of it a century or so later, but the modern renovation is so thoughtful (and thorough) that it all seems to blend together perfectly. "My boyfriend and I came here for NYE, the bar in the hotel was perfect for the night, the front desk staff were so nice. Over the years, I’ve stayed at majority of the hotels in Fishkill as I’m from the area and this was by far the nicest and my most favorite."

Great value, great service!

"I always stay at this hotel when in New Paltz. It truly lives up to the name "best value." It is no-frills, but super-clean and has everything you may need. The people were extremely helpful and friendly. One evening, I ordered out for food, and it came without utensils. I went to the front desk to see if they had anything, and the person at the desk said she knew that restaurant always forgets utensils, so shed already gotten them out. It was a small thing but that kind of anticipating needs is the essence of good service!"
