"My wife and I had the most amazing and luxurious stay at the Taj. From the moment we walked in, Rita on reception met us with the most incredible standard of help and support. The room was exactly as we expected and more … the views (wow) and the comfort of the bed and the stunning bath with views - just wow. The bar, and restaurant staff again, we were blessed by all that we met with. I can’t name everyone but would like to make special mentions to Frank and Widaap. An incredible experience and we will definitely be back. "

"We could hardly have wished for a more wonderful way to start our trip to South Africa than staying at the Villa Rosa Guest House in Sea Point for 6 days. The location is perfect: one block from Main Road with all its shops and eateries, two blocks from the ocean front road with its long esplanade that is perfect for strolling. This area felt very safe for walking around, including after dark when we walked back from eating out in the neighborhood. Even so, the guest house compound felt extremely secure, with multiple locked doors and gates. The guest house itself is a small, charming bed and breakfast, and each room (we looked in several) seems to have a unique character. We stayed in Room 11 and would choose it again, as it is particularly quiet and private — far back from High Level Road (which gets a fair amount of traffic at certain times of day), enclosed in the middle of the compound, and has its own small outdoor “courtyard” with a fountain and sitting area. The room itself is spacious, with a comfy and old-fashioned sitting area (complete with fridge and tea/coffee station) separate from the bed, and a refurbished modern bathroom. Everything was clean and well kept, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were especially good (even compared to the other B&Bs we stayed at elsewhere on this trip), with a different main choice every day, each more delicious than the last, in addition to all the other breakfast options one might like. "The AC Mariott was exceptionally clean, the facility was well kept and the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent providing a wide range of food items to choose from. We had dinner one night at the hotel, and the food was excellent. The only drawback was finding the hotel, missed the road a couple of times. Also offering a shuttle to the V&A waterfront more frequently would be helpful. "
