"Possibly the smallest room Ive ever stayed in. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was old and in poor shape, stained lampshade on the tiny desk. Glass door to bathroom so all light flooded thru there. Curtains did not meet in the middle in the bedroom. Bathroom was designed as a wet room, no shower curtain, awkward tiny 1cm "step" between toilet and shower. Kept falling over it. Windows and glass shelf in bathroom were very dirty. Tiled floor in bathroom very slippery when wet no mat provided....

"Extended my stay because it felt right there. Friendly and really helpful staff, really good breakfast on the verandah, great location and price. Could use a little TLC in places but that’s outweighed by everything else."

"Lovely hotel in a historic house with impeccable service. It has been recently refurbished and under new owners who have done a magnificent job. We stayed in the Dumas suite which has a balcony where you can watch birds and monkeys with a cup of morning tea. The serene gardens and swimming pool are a delight. "I had one of my best stays in Sri Lanka at Sam’s! The host was sooo friendly, attentive and helpful. The rooms were clean, bed comfortable, AC and WiFi worked well, bathrooms were big and water was hot! Absolutely amazing stay for the price, I was worried about everyone saying the street was loud but it wasn’t bad at all when we went to bed around 1030-11pm, everything quieted down. Overall my favorite stay in Sri Lanka, highly recommend staying here "

"We booked this property last minute and quite late at night due to a change of plans. The owner was very quick to get a room sorted for us, despite it being so late. The room was clean, comfortable, and the property was very peaceful. A lovely family-run guest house that provides a relaxing stay. "

"Nice place to stay. Comfortable clean rooms. I thought for this price they may make the beds. I also asked for a special request that the said they could do, but they didnt end up doing it... It was flowers on the bed for my girlfriends birthday. Then we asked if we could have one more breakfast as we were still hungry as compensation for not having power for the day and then they said no, which wasnt a big deal. Just thought they may do that. The serving staff were very nice."

"Super friendly and helpful staff that gave great recommendations for the rest of my trip. Room was clean, A/C was cold, water was hot for shower, and breakfast was amazing. I was even served a fresh mixed juice smoothie as part of the free breakfast. This is a algreat spot to explore the walls of the Galle Fort."

"Had a wonderful stay at Twenty Two! The property is located in a quiet area of the beach but a short walk from anything you need. Views from the rooms are incredible, especially at sunset! Thank you for a great stay."

"Overall, this hotel is very average. There were a few positive and negatives. I’ll start with the positives. After asking for water and toiletries, they were eventually provided. They let me shower after checkout and stored my bag, which was nice! The room is very average, but there was a gap above the door that didn’t shut all the way which let bugs in at night. "This property was centrally located to access the wonders of Galle Fort, but set in a quiet lane away from the main foot traffic. The Courtyard and entry to the property burst with colour and wonderful scents. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast options were the best we came across in Sri Lanka. The rooms were clean but moderate in size with limited space for large luggage."

"Very friendly staff and helpful manager. Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing. Room (deluxe) very large and provided extra bed for kids. Short 10 min walk to galle fort. Room very clean and great housekeeping. Pool towels provided. Some minor maintenance issues could do with addressing around pool (tile grouting). "

"The Fort Printers is a beautiful boutique hotel with professional staff who are lovely. The breakfast and dinner menu was outstanding with some of the best food we ate in Sri Lanka. Our room was very comfortable and a really good size. They also serve excellent cocktails, I had one of the best bloody Mary's ever 😋 "

"Bartizan is locted on edge of Galle Fort. It has a rooftop with seating which has great sea views and more importantly a breeze in the swealtering heat! Breakfast amazing, with nice choices, staff supet freindly and very polite. Well worth booking a room with seaview or partial seaview rather than courtyard room ( although these are fine). Would recommend this hotel. "

"This hotel is outstanding in EVERY aspect, definitely 5 star. The service in every department is exemplary. The staff go beyond their call of duty to ensure your stay is perfect. The facility is constantly maintained to the very highest of standards and the location is perfect. The beach is fabulous and the view from the hotel superb. Excellent Food/Setting and Accomodations

"Excellent/wonderful. Beautiful facility/setting and the staff are wonderful. The breakfast was the best I had in all of Sri Lanka. The dinner choices were wide ranging an excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent water pressure with plenty of hot water. About a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride to the Fort. Highly recommend. "
