"Sweet place to stay…right on the beach! Turtles were there…surrounded by tourists! The staff were friendly and kind. Obs not luxury but for a cheap time on the beach very good! Outstanding curry at The Bistro "

"Possibly the smallest room Ive ever stayed in. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was old and in poor shape, stained lampshade on the tiny desk. Glass door to bathroom so all light flooded thru there. Curtains did not meet in the middle in the bedroom. Bathroom was designed as a wet room, no shower curtain, awkward tiny 1cm "step" between toilet and shower. Kept falling over it. Windows and glass shelf in bathroom were very dirty. Tiled floor in bathroom very slippery when wet no mat provided....

We stayed in the Dumas suite which has a balcony where you can watch birds and monkeys with a cup of morning tea. The serene gardens and swimming pool are a delight. "I had one of my best stays in Sri Lanka at Sam’s! The host was sooo friendly, attentive and helpful. The rooms were clean, bed comfortable, AC and WiFi worked well, bathrooms were big and water was hot! Absolutely amazing stay for the price, I was worried about everyone saying the street was loud but it wasn’t bad at all when we went to bed around 1030-11pm, everything quieted down. Overall my favorite stay in Sri Lanka, highly recommend staying here "
