"Good, solid place. It really is a monastery with large grounds and impressive buildings. Welcome was very friendly and helpful. The property is dated, but in fairly good order. Bed was good. Breakfast was cereal and toast type. I was hoping for full breakfast but was not offered. Mirfield also a nice town/village, just avoid school closing time as very busy"

"Patrick and his wife were very welcoming, the property is dated but comfortable and clean and very reasonably priced. The surrounding area is a short walk away, with some nice pubs, restaurants (with gluten free options), shops and a Tesco etc... The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been some comfy chairs or small sofa in the room as I personally struggle watching TV in bed, due to health issues, but other than that it was a pleasant stay."

"This property is lovely and very spacious. All kitted out with essentials. Close to Penistone where there was nice cafe’s. We went for lunch at Ye Olde Mustard Pot and this was yummy. Nice decking area and hot tub is an added bonus. The only thing we weren’t aware of is that the property is next door to the owners and when we were outside one evening, the owners and their friends were also using the outdoor area and pizza oven.
