"Camels, and 4X4’s, luxury and serenity. The camp had it all. It was the perfect experience and one I truly hope to experience again. We spent 2 nights at the camp and I am so glad that we did, one just would not be enough. Although the food, surroundings, stargazing, camel rides, and four wheeling through the dunes are amazing, the best part of Horaz is the wonderful, warm staff. "It was Dec so a little too cold in the desert for a comfortable sleep. They enough provided enough quilts but when the bed is cold, it is cold :-) They had warm running water, bathrooms were clean and well equipped. They do not take credit cards so be prepared to carry cash. The owner met us in the city afterwards, we had to stand in line, withdraw money multiple times from the ATM to give him cash. He was very friendly but the process took away time from our schedule. "

"What a wonderful magical place! This is the second camp we have stayed at in Merzouga and this one was a much different experience — private, quiet, beautiful and peaceful.
