"The staff are beyond friendly. We enjoyed our fireside riddles and laughed a lot with some of the staff. Our camel ride out to the camp with guide Mohammed was stellar. There was a stop for the sunset and some local berbere men shared their sand board with us so we could play on the dunes. The only thing I'd change about the entire experience is the dinner. I wish it'd been more authentic and less "fancy". I should also warn that the heat does not and has not worked in the camp in some time. We...

"It was Dec so a little too cold in the desert for a comfortable sleep. They enough provided enough quilts but when the bed is cold, it is cold :-) They had warm running water, bathrooms were clean and well equipped. They do not take credit cards so be prepared to carry cash. The owner met us in the city afterwards, we had to stand in line, withdraw money multiple times from the ATM to give him cash. He was very friendly but the process took away time from our schedule. "

"Camels, and 4X4’s, luxury and serenity. The camp had it all. It was the perfect experience and one I truly hope to experience again. We spent 2 nights at the camp and I am so glad that we did, one just would not be enough. Although the food, surroundings, stargazing, camel rides, and four wheeling through the dunes are amazing, the best part of Horaz is the wonderful, warm staff. Thank you Alí and everyone else for giving us a memorable few days in Africa!"

"We had an amazing 2-night stay at Kam Kam camps. We were welcomed graciously with tea and treats (as is typical in Morocco). The camp grounds were beautiful. Our tent was perfectly comfortable with gorgeously decorated, but still fairly simple as is expected when camping in the desert. Dinner was delicious and you definitely will not go hungry. "There is no air conditioning and charger is only USB charge in room. Some room you can not locked and door stay open all night. Felt unsafe while sleeping due to unable to close my door. "

"It seems a scam. I followed the GPS but found no one, no number to call. I had to contact Expedia but still could not find the contact. I had to book another hotel."

"The hospitality was second to none and the actually camp was beautiful had all modern enmities (clean private bathroom with rain shower that had hot and cold water), lights, comfortable bed and delicious food. "This was a fabulous experience in the Moroccan Sahara. Hassan and his team worked very hard to meet all our requests and exceeded our expectations. The food was great and they organised a fabulous tour of the area. The tents were clean and had great facilities, making for a comfortable stay. I strongly recommend to anyone considering this location. "

Absolutely fabulous!!!

"We only stayed one night, but it was a memorable one! Not only is the “Desert Villa” breathtakingly beautiful, but so was the atmosphere because of the hospitality of the owner Youssef and his brother. Youssef went above and beyond to make our evening there special. We arrived not too long before sunset and when he heard we’d planned to walk a little into the desert he immediately grabbed his car keys and took us to one of the further out high dunes. He encouraged us to climb up for a spectacular view, which we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. Dinner and breakfast in house were wonderful too and Youssef took time to talk to us about his life, life of Nomads and interesting facts about the area. "

"Our family of 4 stayed 3 nights in Auberge Les Roches. We arrived by rental car around sunset and were pleased to have a complimentary tajin dinner that night. The breakfast was good, and we made tons of use of the pool, which was a hit with our kids. Amazing dunes are just a short walk away. We were in the area for fossil hunting. A couple other notes: we had to pay for the room in cash only, which we didn’t get notice about until the day before checkout and nearly had a problem with because there was only one ATM machine in town and it limited us to withdrawing 4000 MAD per account per day. I would have preferred a reminder at check in that we still needed to pay for the room and that it was cash only."
