"The property is a little dated but the rooms are clean. We were disappointed to find that we couldn’t use ethernet cables to connect to the internet and our work laptops wouldn't work on the public wifi (due to VPN security). The lounge bar is a bit disappointing - no ambiance - just a TV at the end of the room that was showing golf when we stopped by for a drink. "This is an old hotel, which does need some tlc, however, the receptionist told me the rooms are nearly finished a refurb and whats been done so far is lovely. Our executive double was large, warm and a really comfy bed. Breakfast was served fresh, hot and good quality. Great location. Shame its £9 a night to park but as the accommodation is so reasonable we didnt mind. Much better than many other sheffield hotels."
