"Everything has been just amazing! The staff are very helpful and friendly, with such attention to detail. Our room was stunning (we stayed in the Bowness Suite) with the best views ever over the lake! Booked the Bentley to take us down to a restaurant in the harbour for dinner with was ace and such a great touch from the hotel! Spent lots of time in the private hot tub watching the fighter jets fly low over the lake. It's beem magical, I can't fault a single thing. Thank you! "

"Could not fault the guest house excellent service ,only criticism the rooms could be more sound proof as we were on the ground floor and the noise from upstairs was very noisy but they did accommodate us on the last night and moved us to the top room 14 very cosy and quite, the breakfasts where beautiful and staff top rated ."

"Lovely stay. Bit of disappointment with room booking as had go a call 2 days beffore travelling from the hotels offering different rooms on groud and 1st floor but on arrival we gor room on 2nd floor. It didnt spoil our stay but we enjoy our stay over all"

"I visited with my wife and daughter for a chill out weekend after a busy first quarter. This hotel was ideal with stunning views of lake Windermere and the busy boating area of Bowness. We walked 20 mins into Bowness on an evening (torch required for return leg) and during the day. We relaxed around the hotels lake, and I must stay the weather played its part too. We ate in the hotel bar and the food was excellent, breakfast was one of the best we had too, plenty of choice, nothing was too much...

"We had the most wonderful night’s stay at The Gateway Inn - friendly smiley staff, superb drinks selection, delicious dinner (lamb henry and sea bass), comfy bed, sparkly clean bathroom, delicious breakfast (we had the most amazing eggs benedict with perfectly-poached eggs, plus the cereal, yogurt, fruit, granola, nuts and seeds, high-quality jam, toast, cheese, Nutella, tea and coffee….all for £8.95!). We couldn’t have asked for more for a rare getaway as parents of a tween and a teen. Thank...
