"Pool is not for free. We complained and got it as exception for free, but it is advertised as free, but costs generally 40€ per person per 1 time."

"We loved Hotel Condes de Barcelona. The staff were all so friendly especially Julieta and Jackson. They were very helpful and always made us feel welcomed. The entire hotel smelled so luxurious and was super clean. The location is the best in Barcelona as it is central to all the tourist sites and within a block from all the luxury shopping. The only negative I would comment would be the ac system as it it was not true to the temperature we set it too. We had to sleep with the balcony door open just to get cold air in our room. Luckily the weather was cool enough to not make it an issue. Overall, we highly rate this hotel 100/100. You won't regret staying. We will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and family, and we will definitely stay here again. "

"I was extremely disappointed as I did not receive an upgrade. The room I reserved had no possible upgrade and sadly nothing in lieu was provided. Front desk amazing. Buffet breakfast each morning was delicious and the staff wonderful. However a few issues. Our WiFi kept cutting out and would kick me into my data. Because of this I ran out of data for my last day which was extremely frustrating as it added another cost I was not expecting. Our room was nice but difficult for a family of 4 as the washroom was all open and we could only go 1 at a time. But the biggest issue we had was our room. When we arrived I was given false information about the bedding. Everything is goose down filled and Im allergic. The 1st night we got in late and nothing could be done so needless to say I didn’t sleep. The next day it was corrected however the bed had no sheets or pillowcases. Luckily it was mid day that we popped into the hotel or I would hve had yet another night of no sleep. "

"We spent three unforgettable days to start our honeymoon at Hotel 1898. When we first arrived, we were greeted by Marta with a warm and welcoming smile. She was genuinely happy for us when we told her of our recent wedding and she made a great effort to rush the preparation of our room, even though we had arrived well before the usual check in time. To our surprise, when we were escorted to the room we were surprised with Sparkling wine on ice, cake, a sign and inflatable heart balloon on the bed congratulating us on our honeymoon. It was a beautiful gesture and such a WOW moment for us. For the rest of our time at the hotel, we felt like part of the family. We were given special private access to their majestic underground spa (champagne on ice again!!!) and served welcome mimosas each morning at their buffet breakfast. We cannot overstate how much we enjoyed our stay at 1898 and we will be their champions moving forward. So much in fact, that we have already booked our return stay when we return from our honeymoon cruise. Thank you to the staff for making our stay such an amazing one and thank you Marta for your kindness and generosity. You are simply the best! Nik & Bianca"
