"Having read a few previous reviews wasn’t sure what to expect. Some said stairs were awful. Both me and my wife found the stairs fine. But anyone with restricted mobility may struggle. . Room spotlessly clean. Breakfast voucher in room to be used at local pub. Voucher value is £15pp. Full breakfast is £13.95. Then drinks are extra. So you end up paying a bit extra which isn’t made clear when you book. There are cheaper options on menu though. "

"Very friendly host/owner. Managed to get there on the first day before their restaurant service finished and had an excellent spicy pizza. Shame I didn't have time to try other menu items. The room itself was a good size, lots of storage space and a kettle with some coffee/tea on hand. The bed was fine, although a little firm for my taste but otherwise comfortable. "We had a warm welcome at Watermead House. Having booked very late, our room was on the top floor. It was extremely comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities, a large screen television and a spacious shower. We found it lovely and quiet. We appreciated the advice on local restaurants which were a short walk away. Breakfast was exceptional, ordered the evening before from a wide selection so no delay and very tasty. "
