When we arrived later in the evening we found the only way to the front door was crossing a rickety, rotted out deck with nails sticking up all over. The strong odor of musty/mold greeted us when we opened the door. Host told us to just open some windows. Then we found there was a ladder type stairs to go up to the sleeping area. "The cottage is in a lovely sunny position, very quiet and the beds are comfortable. It’s not a spacious cottage for 6 adults - the sitting room, main entrance, kitchen and dining area are all the same room; one sofa with 4 seats; very little ‘kitchen’ space but adequate hob and oven. The owner’s family were warm, friendly and helpful. I would stay again if holidaying in Holland, but not with 6 of us, really it suits 4."
