"What friendly staff!!! Everyone was so helpful and chatty. Lovely menu with daily specials, chef's specials and normal pub grub. Nice atmosphere too as it is down a country lane, but locals were eating and drinking there. Will stay there again the next time we are in the areaQ"

"We rarely stay in pubs (particularly not on a Saturday night). This venue was exceptional, had clearly been refurbished recently (smell of fresh paint). Good to see locals in the bar, who welcomed us ahead of hotel staff. Room was clean and well appointed. We ate in restaurant in evening - food and service were both excellent (although portion size was HUGE !!!). Breakfast good in morning."

"We had a wonderful nights stay. The location is perfect for visiting Wells and backs onto the Cathedral green. The bed was very comfortable, a bit high maybe but such a good nights sleep. Can’t comment on the food as the restaurant was not open the night of our visit. "

You’ll never see a more intricately themed B&B…you get transported to another place and time of magic and pagan wildness! "Really good service. Friendly welcome on arrival, shown to room. Nice clean room with the basic necessities. Bed, shower, tea and coffee, fridge, towels. No parking but one of the nearby streets is used and free. About a 10 minute walk to the centre. About 5 minutes from the beach. "

"Excellent secluded spot outside and overlooking Cheddar, out in wide open fields within a minute and up to the gorge in about 15. Rustic, cosy little house with all the essentials and a stocked wood burner. Friendly host and dogs! Also had a small milk in the fridged stocked when we arrived which was a nice touch. 2 single beds might not be up all couples' streets, but well worth it otherwise. "
