"The bed was extremely comfortable and was the best part of the room. The amenities were nice and the room was as depicted in the photos. The welcome was pleasant but cooled somewhat once they realised we’d booked through Hotels.com. We were told we wouldn’t get breakfast because of it. "On traditionally bleak winters day in south west Dorset this hotel was warm and welcoming, spacious and well presented rooms. Breakfast was well cooked and served promptly. A strong 9/10 because although you should never judge a book by the cover, this hotel lets it self down with it's exterior presentation"

"Amazing stay! Leah and all the staff made our family so welcome the moment we walked in the door. The kids were looked after showing them the skittle alley, darts board and tele, and introduced to all the dogs who they loved! We had plans nearby in the evening but could have happily stayed in the lovely pub all night!"

" had a to remove the loo paper before you had your shower, otherwise one would get a soggy loo roll as it was situated to near the shower . We ate in the restaurant each evening and the food was very good. ... Personally, being in Lyme Regis, a little more fish on the menu would have been perfect. We would definately go again."

Absolutely nothing could be improved upon!

"This property was exceptional in every way. And I do mean EVERY way. From the simple check in procedure, to lovely friendly owners on site if needed, cleanliness, a very generous welcome basket, facilities, beautiful location, easy safe parking and an enclosed garden for our puppy, I honestly couldn't find a single fault.It's an easy and beautiful 15 minute walk to the centre of the village where there are 4 pubs, a couple of cafes, independent shops and 2 x convenience stores. The locals are extremely welcoming and the coast is a 20 minute drive away.Absolutely can't go wrong with this property and I am very sad to be writing this back home as we both really miss our stay there just a day after returning."

Beautiful Cottage which allows dogs :)

"Lovely place to stay as a central base in Dorset, clean and well-appointed with clear instructions for optimum use of the cottage and area. Granted we stayed in February but I'd take some slippers next time as the floor is cold but the water was hot, shower was great and bed was very comfy. No communication with hosts whilst we were there but we didn't intitiate as we were out all day but I'm sure they'd be quick to respond to any issues as communication prior to this was very easy. Overall I would recommend. "

Dog friendly, rural location,on network of footpaths,close to country pub

Lovely cottage in the countryside

"As a family of three, plus our four legged friend, we really loved staying in this delightful cottage in rural Dorset. Equipped with everything you could possibly need, and more - including lots of great games, puzzles, books, blue-tooth speaker, etc. The view from the kitchen is stunning and we loved all the Christmas decorations and fairy lights. Cosy and characterful this was the perfect place to base ourselves over the Christmas break. For getting out and about - there are some nice country walks nearby plus a great pub just a short stroll away. Further afield - Beaminster, Bridport and some spectacular beaches are a short drive away. Thank you to our wonderful hosts, Mandi and Jamie, for a super stay - we'd love to return!"

Lovely cottage and delightful hosts

"The cottage has all the facilities you might need, and the Welcome Box of goodies was a nice touch. The heating came on morning and evening and warmed the cottage very well. We didn't need to use the log fire. The Spar shop, located a minute's walk away, was very useful. I can recommend this accommodation to anyone thinking about a holiday to short break in Dorset. "

Large, cosy Self Catering Cottage Set In Beautiful Countryside. Pet friendly

Cosy Escape

"Perfect venue for a cosy week catching up with friends, we had been looking for somewhere large enough for all 10 of us to get together, play board games and have a film night! This was perfect! The dining table accomodated us all, as did the sofa! We also did all our own cooking and found the kitchen to be well equiped, (far more so than some professional kitchens weve used!) Will definitely be keeping this saved for future catch ups!!"
