"If you are looking for a vfm option in West Bay this hotel is the place. We had room 7 on the first floor, spacious, whirlpool bath and even a teapot. In our opinion 2 negatives for this room, the mattress was way too soft and the seagulls from 0400hrs, can't really do anything about the 2nd being near the sea!!! The breakfast is quality, great choice and only £10 per day. The hotel is not statebor modern if that is what you are looking for, however the atmosphere and staff make up for it."

"We enjoyed our stay. Convenient for long walks and for us better than staying in bridport. The bathroom was on the small side. We felt that our recently refurbished room could do with another refurbish along with the rest of the hotel. It was adequate though and the staff were very friendly "

"We loved everything about our stay here. It was so peaceful with beautiful surroundings and views. The room itself was very cosy with everything we needed and some extra little treats. We didn’t have to think about anything. It was very relaxing. The bed was so comfortable and the bath was huge. We would highly recommend and will definitely be back in the near future. "

"The room was slightly dated, but very clean. On arrival the room was cold, but there was an option to contact the owners to have the heating boosted if required. We were visiting friends nearby so didn't need to do so, and the room was lovely and warm on our return once the scheduled heating had started. Overall, we were pleased with our choice of accommodation "

"Eleven of us 8 adults and 3 children had a lovely time. We stayed for 3 nights. The farmhouse had everything you needed and the views were wonderful Will try to go back"

"The property is a slice of heaven with rolling hills divided into plush green fields divided by hedge rows. The quiet outdoors is only broken by singing birds and the local sheep and horses. The farmhouse is beautiful with Carolyn being the perfect hostess. Morning breakfast was wonderful and served with a smile. We loved it."

"If you fancy a comfortable, clean and friendly Dorset inn with the best of breakfasts and delicious high quality meals, book in at The Marquis of Lorne. Surrounded by wonderful views, walking paths and close to the sea. Great for relaxing without children, also great for young families - an excellent garden play area."

Characterful 18th century cottage in Bridport close to the Jurassic Coast.

Lovely cosy cottage near town centre

"We had a lovely stay over New Year in this very cosy character cottage in a perfect location just off the high street in Bridport, a short walk to all the pubs and shops (but very quiet, being in a small lane tucked in behind the high street)). Susan is very communicative and is quick to reply to any queries. Would definitely stay again."

Dog friendly, rural location,on network of footpaths,close to country pub

Lovely cottage in the countryside

"As a family of three, plus our four legged friend, we really loved staying in this delightful cottage in rural Dorset. Equipped with everything you could possibly need, and more - including lots of great games, puzzles, books, blue-tooth speaker, etc. The view from the kitchen is stunning and we loved all the Christmas decorations and fairy lights. Cosy and characterful this was the perfect place to base ourselves over the Christmas break. For getting out and about - there are some nice country walks nearby plus a great pub just a short stroll away. Further afield - Beaminster, Bridport and some spectacular beaches are a short drive away. Thank you to our wonderful hosts, Mandi and Jamie, for a super stay - we'd love to return!"
