"A very quaint Hotel with quirky features. Noisy floor boards so you could hear people moving around. Food was good but little more expensive than normal Green King prices. Recently stayed in a Wetherspoons Hotel as well, who provided a lot more tea/coffee/hot chocolate etc in the room. Would be an idea to increase at the Anchor. Great location with some on site parking but we couldn't use it so park on the road. Would recommend."

The only thing that I would say tainted the stay was that I couldn’t turn the heating off in the room and with the room being small and at the top of the building, it was so, so hot. "For the £48 I paid it was excellent value for money. I had a lovely large room with see views. It was clean and the window opened so that I could take in the sea air. The bathroom was clean and fresh. The bed was comfy, I slept sound and woke to the dawn chorus. Didn't have breakfast as I didn't need to. "
