"We travel to Taiwan from our home in North America to visit my wife's family in Taipei. We are curious about Tainan, and travelled here on the HSR. Our cousin suggested the Shangri La to stay since it is immediately adjacent to the regular train station and convenient to the bus routes. "Our suite was superb. Shampoo showergel bodywash conditioner are all from Aesop. Very clean, and love the contemporary design. In-roomn record player, can borrow albums from Lobby. "The location is good if MRT and bus are available (unfortunately the MRT and bus were not in service on the day when we arrived because of Kangrui typhoon so we had to take taxi from HRT station), the staffs are very helpful. We walked outside for most of the daytime and just used the hotel for sleeping. It is worth of the value. By the way, the hotel provides washer and dryer for free even though the dryer took about 3 hours to dry a small load of the clothes."
