"The Sofitel Munich Bayerpost is a nice hotel and I enjoyed my stay there, but it falls short of being a 5-star place. The location is great, right next to the train station (S-bahn) and walkable to Old Town in the centre of Munich. The staff was very helpful and friendly and gave me a room upgrade (my first room was in the cold, far corner of the building). The Spa is wonderful. Great sauna and steam room. "Advance check-in online was available and was very convenient. This property was perfect for a city break. The only draw back was that the standard rooms only have a double bed whereas I was looking for twin beds. This would have incurred an upgrade of 30Euros per night. That said, the double bed was huge and super comfortable so there was plenty room to avoid your room mate :-) Breakfast was 26Euros per sitting but it was fantastic and worth the money."

"For the price paid, this was a really good stay in the very center of Munich. I was a little concerned about some of the reviews, however, although there were small cleanliness issues and a few parts of my room in need of repair, generally it was a really good stay and for the same price again I would definitely stay there.
