"Beautiful property with nice dining options and plenty to do for a family with young children. Everything was super clean and the staff was very kind and helpful. We were happy with most of the food options (would not recommend the rib eye at The Grill, it was thin, dry and hard to eat). We did the Enclave upgrade which I felt was worth it for the addituonal meal options. We used the main pool most of the time though because it was better for our kids who are still young. "We went to the room given to us and started to settle in but then noticed that the latch to lock the patio door did not work which we did not like. We went down and complained to the desk attendant and she very quickly and happily got us into a different room. So it was a hassle but with acceptable conclusion."

"When I arrived, I was told that they didn’t have space for me, and then they just expected that I would leave. I then spent about three hours on the phone with Expedia to find me a replacement room. Needless to say, I didn’t enjoy my experience dealing with this hotel. "

"We were told that the rooms were 538 sq feet along with 32 in TV , it was about 140 sq feet no TV often no hot water no where to sit other than the bed no table or anything to make you comfortable. Another problem was the name Altea Palace was not on display ,in fact when we asked the local police they had never heard the name and sent us a number of miles away"

"The hotel was very nice and clean, almost brand new. Family run business and their attention and willingness to make you feel comfortable is great. Nice breakfast also. Excellent option if you are looking for an affordable stay close to the beach in Bayahibe"

"Shortly after restrictions are lifted in regard to COVID-19 Villa Iguana is all set to receive guests again. All health & safety measures and protocol are implemented and followed so that we very much enjoyed our short stay this time. Staff is amazingly friendly and helped us out with every wish and request we had. Hope to be back soon"

"I stay with my son on 2/21/25, the lady at the front desk was very professional (couldn’t get her name unfortunately) she explain everything on the contract, she even came to show me the room, and told me what is around the area. I recommend the restaurant at the property they have brick oven pizza and other good dishes(if you go on the weekend make a reservation) the waiter that take care of us was very knowledgeable of the menu really make me feel at home, after a long day at the beach which...

Dreams Dominicus La Romana - All Inclusive

Wow

"The grounds of this resort are stunning. Cleanliness, pools, beach, gym, buffet restaurant and overall service were incredible. The beach/ocean has to be the cleanest and best in Dominican. During the second half of the week the resort was at capacity (during QC and U.S. university/college spring break) and in no way felt congested. The family suites are on the opposite side of the road from the main resort. This at first was a surprise, but turned out to be a very pleasant one as it was so peaceful there at night and had a great view over the resort in the evening light hours. Overall travel to resort took about 45 mins but was worth the extra 20 mins compared to Punta Cana resorts. Main pool bar staff Marcelo and Claudio were very nice and also good with kids. Gustavo was assigned as our “butler”. Nothing is too much for him. We were amazed at his willingness to make our trip the best it could possibly be as well as his contagious positivity and his presence. This extra effort made a great week an amazing one."
