"I went to Swan House with my wife and 2 teenage girls (daughter and her friend) I was genuinely surprised by how well equipped the cottage was, with fans, heaters and a first-class boiler which pumped the heat out when required. The beds were comfortable and warm, the kitchen fully equipped with oven and hob, and a full range of pots, pans, plates and dishes. The view from the well-tended back garden was spectacular and the mist on the hills in the evening was wonderful. Only a couple of miles...

The boot room was a god send for our boots and coats, and the rest of the cottage was so cosy, beds extremely comfortable, shower was lovely. Off road parking was great too. Wish we could have spent longer there and we will definitely be back."

"This cottage is very spacious with 4 double bedrooms, with a huge kitchen and other large rooms downstairs plus a large patio. The kitchen is very well stocked with crockery, cutlery, and all sorts of cooking equipment - easily the best cottage we've come across for these things. The location is great for access to the hills and although you can walk to Keswick or an eatery, you'll probably need to drive for the most part.
