"Excellent location, room are spacious and even though above the tavern you cannot hear any noise below. Breakfast was lovely, good choices. We parked near the castle (castle street car park) was £8 for 24 hours. Would highly recommended staying here "

"We loved the idea of staying in a castle and that in itself was magical. We stayed in the Cromwell Suite which is big. The kids loved the extra room to roam. "The White Lion is a nice pub but, unfortunately, my room was very small with a tiny bathroom. I retired early but the noise from the pub was very loud. Food was ok but not spectacular."
