"My wife & I escaped the rat race to spend 4 nights at Palm Bay Resort, Long Island to celebrate our upcoming 50th birthdays. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by the staff. We were allocated a lovely Ocean View Bure overlooking the turquoise water in the bay. The food in the restaurant was incredible and we were amazed to hear that the Chefs are both very young…… I hope they keep them as they are immensely talented. Happy hour in the Sunset Bar every night was just wonderful with a good variety at very modest prices ($16 during happy hour). The staff were delightful and always up for a chat (Jade & Lacey were so good to us). Most importantly the Resort encouraged you to switch off from the outside world (no TV’s, no WiFi) & reconnect with loved ones…… so refreshing in this digital age! Overall, we can’t recommend this experience highly enough. We loved our time at Palm Bay Resort & have both hit 2025 refreshed & recharged."

"We really appreciate the last minute accommodation as our flights from Hamilton Island were canceled due to bad weather. The room we had was spacious, clean and the staff checked in on us in case we needed anything. The room was well equipped and a great location - close to the ferry building and the local shops/restaurants! "

"Hamilton Island is a beautiful place to visit. The island is small, and the free shuttle around it is useful. It is a pricey destination, but the room is very nice. The room is fully equipped with a kitchen so if you would want to get provisions before arriving to cut down on costs a bit, you certainly could. We had a short stay, so we did not get a chance to visit all the beaches, but did enjoy the ones we did. Loved seeing the wallabies, parrots, bats, and cockatoos that roam freely on the island. The snorkeling off Catseye beach was decent, I’d recommend going far out if you are a confident swimmer. There are also pools, ping pong, bowling , and free use of non motorized equipment at the beach ( only saw kayaks, but they probably had other things, we snorkeled so didn’t use them) All in all very nice for a short stay. For a long stay I would pick Airlie Beach as you have more options on things to do."
