"This was a great cottage to base yourself in the Cotswold’s. The two minute walk to the village was a great feature of this cottage as well as the parking spot. I enjoyed the fire and the beautiful surrounds. I would recommend a stay. "

If I’m really honest I feel you would be pushed to have more than 2 adults staying or anyone with poor mobility as the stairs are very steep. "Elm Bank is a beautiful cottage in a perfect location in Lower Swell. The listing is accurate, if anything the pictures do not quite show you how large the cottage is. We were more than comfortable as a group of six adults. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of pots and pans, the fridge is expansive, and there's plenty of storage for food and other necessities. "Wendle Cottage is convenient, the property manager goes out of his way to help guests with any problems, the cottage itself is old but has a fairly new kitchen. It would have been nice to have a French press as there is only a pod type coffee maker. Other reviews have addressed the staircase and they are correct. It’s very steep and needs the handrails. It’s very close to the major grocery store and train. Would recommend cottage for it’s convenience to all of the Cotswolds."

"We had a wonderful stay. The house was fantastic and comfortably accommodated 9 of us in a beautiful region. Very appreciative of the xmas tree and decorations which made it all very special!!"

"Excellent value accommodation in an area where hotels etc are really expensive. Easy to check into reception, room is clean and has everything you’d need. It was very quiet and not many folk staying. Security is a bonus ….. we were really impressed and will come again. "

"The Store is a contemporary luxury hotel in the heart of historic Oxford. The location is central to much of the area's attractions. The hotel's thoughtful design emphasizes a blend of old and new. The lobby and bar area on the ground floor are ideal locations for conversation, drinks, and looking out to old Oxford. The rooms are stylish, comfortable, and quiet. The spa and rooftop bar add to the hotel's charms. Loved The Store."

"I have stayed at Whately Hall many times over the past 17 years, mostly through work. The hotel has shown its age over the years, but the refurb has started. My bedroom was ideal. The newly refurbed bathroom looked fantastic. All the staff were very accommodating, professional and polite… a credit to the owners. I would certainly revisit…"

"Very nice hotel, room was nice with everything you would need and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again without a doubt. The only negative was the sofa bed. I think they need vast improvement as it was extremely uncomfortable with next to no padding. This unfortunately resulted in a poor sleep. That being said, i would still happily return, i would just reserve 2 rooms rather than sharing."
