"An excellent 2 night stay in a single room in the Gwydyr Hotel, Betws-Y-Coed. My room was comfortable and clean as was the bathroom. We were a party of 7 plus a dog celebrating a 50th Birthday. We ate in the hotel both evenings and we all enjoyed our food. The breakfast menu included continental and cooked food which was well presented and delicious. There was plenty of space to relax in the comfortable lounges. All the staff were were kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Pricewise I would say that it was good value for the level of comfort and service. All in all I would recommend the Gwydyr Hotel when staying in this beautiful part of Wales. "

"What a lovely hotel to stay at, the groubds are absolutely amazing. You can sit outside with peacocks roaming around you. You have admire the beautiful ruins in the gardens and take cracking photos. Food was lovely and he staff were great. I will stay here again."

"I arrived early but was able to access my room straight away. I was initially told that my room still had to be paid for but I had prepaid. This was resolved quickly however. The hotel is conveniently located on a regular bus route and I took the opportunity to visit Blaenau Ffestiniog 20 minutes away. The evening meal was excellent with plenty of choice on the menu. My room was fine and extremely comfortable. Some slight traffic noise as it was at the front of the property."

"Wonderful historic building with beautiful interiors. The gardens were vast if you wanted a walk. Very kindly let me order room service. Great shower/toiletries/tea/coffee etc. business travel is rarely a treat but this one felt like a little mini break. Would definitely book again "

"Pretty straight forward needed a night to stay since I was working on the weekend and the room was reasonably priced, staff is friendly, room was cleaned enough and it was comfortable enough that’s all I need so it’s worth going if you don’t fancy forking over a fortune to over places, got a pub downstairs and breakfast in the morning but couldn’t attend to those things as I drive and wake up earlier hours but overall judging the place it seemed pretty decent and I can’t complain."

"Jo Stephen are warm and welcoming, very friendly and attentive. The hotel is perfect for us, warm clean and cosy, a wonderful location, with the most magnificent views of the bay. The sunrise from bed this morning was incredible 💖 many thanks to Jo Stephen for looking after us during our stay, lots of tips on local knowledge. Carparking very convenient too. Lovely stay"

"I stayed at the White Lion on my way down from Scotland. Turned out to be brilliant choice. The hotel has fantastic pub and atmosphere. I really liked the staff, very friendly lot. My room was on the top floor, it was spacious, had a great bed, good bathroom and housecleaning. 👍 It’s central to Bala and Bala is a great village."
