"the staff are wonderful. the grounds are lush and beautifully landscaped. the pool area is fantastic. views are stunning. the food is fine (typical vacation fare). overall, a great value I've already recommended to friends. "

"La Mariposa is a hidden gem and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Staff at the front desk and restaurant were wonderful. Views were amazing. Communication was good when they hosted a wedding onsite and the restaurant hours were limited, so that other plans could be made. The only issues for me were the mattresses were a bit stiff ( ultra firm) and our room was a bit of a hike with many uphill stairs to climb when coming to or from the hotel proper. We got plenty of exercise but it would have been good if they checked to see if this was an issue."
