"Lovely big old hotel in a great location. Great queensize bed. Bar and restaurant on site. Very good value for money. Lots of families with children as there's a swimming pool. Staff are very nice and helpful."

"Staff were fantastic. Hotel building and location were amazing. Great views across to the straights and mountains. Breakfast was really good, dinner was ok. Main issue was that we were not in the main building but a separate one (lodge). Walls there are paper thin unfortunately and could hear everything in room next door. Boiler from room nextdoor was also super loud. Not great for 200 a night! I'm sure the rooms in the main building are much better so would be good to come back and stay in them...

"A great hotel with an excellent breakfast, it's the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the mountains/nature in the area. The bar and restaurant below are great as well especially in winter. The room was very clean, quiet and well stocked. Great staff too, would definitely book this hotel again next time we visit the area. "

"Stormy weather closed in from the West and we chose this hotel as a halfway point between home and our destination to break the journey. The following morning, staff were very friendly and helpful looking up local weather and road reports for us and offering to extend our stay if needs be. The restaurant was very pleasant, the food well presented and tasty."

"The hotel is in a beautiful location on the seafront and we saw a spectacular sunset. Our room was very clean and felt comfortable and luxurious. We loved being able to sit and look at the sea out of the bay window while we had our morning coffee. The reception staff were lovely. The lady at the desk on Sunday afternoon when we arrived made us feel very welcome and at-home. We love the magnificent old building with its original features. We're already planning another visit and hope to try out...
