"Had a wonderful two night stay here. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Tassimo coffee machine as well as a kettle and tea options. Dressing gowns and slippers as well as towels. Room was tidied and restocked before our second night, extra milk delivered for the morning to our doorstep. Absolutely wonderful place. We ate here for one evening meal, food was delicious and served in good time. Had a great time. "

The accommodation itself is very York, with plenty of room and exceptional value for money. I've stayed at a few places in York, including The Grand and when I return I'll be coming back here. "

"10/10 - The Plough is an amazing pub/tavern and hotel! Room was plush, cozy and well appointed. Beds and pillows were comfy! Food was yummy, beer was good and people were incredible. Easy to park!"

"A convenient stop off on the way to Whitby. We chose the small double as we arrived late and were leaving straight after breakfast. It was fine for a short stay. Owners very friendly and although the room was above the pub it was very quiet after 10pm. Breakfast was very good. "

"Excellent service and dinner. Stay spoiled by excessive room noise from external doors and commerical bin banging in the hotel yard outside our room, and from what we think was the kitchen extractor fan running loudly through the night. I wouldn't recommend a room at the rear of the hotel."
