"The cabin is a cozy, comfortable place to stay. The decor was warm and inviting to give it the feel of home away from home. It was peaceful sitting on the porch and rocking while hearing the river down below at Elk Shoals park. It's a short drive to West Jefferson and Jefferson where there is plenty to do. Lots of places to shop including the Asheville County Cheese factory, quaint stores and antique shops. Great places to eat including our favorites Hillbilly Grill and Smoky Mountain...

"We were there for our daughter's graduation from App State. It was a great place for family members to gather to celebrate that event. There were no major issues with the property. We knew there was work going on in the basement and that was not a bother. We would have liked to have had more mirrors. With 6 people staying and only mirrors in the bathrooms, it was difficult to get timing right. A full-length mirror in each of the bedrooms would have been nice. There was damage to the drywall...
