I wanted to avoid the traffic on the long drive to Uber and I wanted to be near the airport small reasons to stay in a hotel with a great reputation, but they worked wonders for me during this stay Bali has become a traffic nightmare which all but the most blasé visitor will want to avoid. The Oberoi is a paradise in the midst of all that. A 40-year-old gem that has only gotten better with age. A well managed, nicely, staffed resort that quickly lets you forget what Bali has become. If I return to this formerly wonderful. island this sill be my home!"
