The hotel was said to be a favorite of the infamous Al Capone because of its extensive network of underground tunnels that exist to this day.

"The property was like new and very modern. The pool at the Clubhouse remained me of a resort in Mexico. The waterpark was the highlight of the property, the grandkids loved it. I wished we received the complete experience as described in the emails I received prior to checking in but Dana did her best to make things right…thank you."
