"Had a great five night stay. At check in we were greeted by Elsa and Alexandra at the reception desk. Both of these ladies are true ambassadors of the hotel and the island. They were so pleasant, informative and willing to go out of their way to ensure we were made aware of all important things like tours, car rental, in house needs, restaurants, shopping, etc. It was a great way to start our visit. Our room was very good, large and quiet despite overlooking the harbour. The room and the entire hotel is spotless. Staff are constantly cleaning all areas of the facility. The breakfast area is very well managed with staff constantly clearing and cleaning tables and replenishing food. As for the staff in the hotel, there wasn’t one who didn’t greet us with pleasantries. It really appeared as though they all enjoyed their jobs and were dedicated to ensuring the guests were treated with respect. Amenities like a constant supply of bottled water, coffee supplies, daily cleaning, plush towels, robes, etc. were all part of an excellent stay. I would highly recommend the Hotel and would most definitely stay there again should we return. "

"Very nice hotel with views over the marina and a short walk into town. Reasonable sized room with lovely marble bathroom. Breakfast wasn't the highest quality but the food in the bar and restaurant was otherwise excellent and very good value. Pool was nice. No kettle in room on arrival but appeared after mentioning in check-in review. Staff friendly and helpful "

"The property has stunning ocean views. Looked like every room had a balcony facing the ocean and cliff. Simply gorgeous. Staff was very kind, informative, and accommodating. Food left something to be desired, but if you're staying here, you probably rented a car and can head into town to eat in Agua de Pau or further afield to Ponta Delgada. I recommend this place to travelers and nature lovers, as it's more centrally located on the island than Ponta Delgada, more away from the crowds, and offers a more peaceful experience. "
