"This place is an underappreciated gem. It lies on the banks of the Rio San Carlos with 24 individual cabins. The rooms are very spacious and nicely appointed. While the pictures show the cabins overlooking the river only around four or five of them actually do that. I spent three nights here in August, 2018. "This is a beautiful ecolodge and very well managed by Pedro and his staff. Pedro goes out of his way to make your stay comfortable. Their food options are very creative and excellent especially since we were vegetarians. The place is remote and provides a true jungle experience while still having the basic amenities to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. They have well organized guided walks both at night and during the day, several of them covered within the reservation. "

"We had lizards in the room and NO hot water! The electrical outlets were limited. Very over-priced! The staff was friendly, but the rooms were a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!"

"Hidden gem for sure. House was beautiful and the property was stunning! We watched monkeys while drinking our morning coffee and there’s a beautiful cook shack to cook over the open fire. We also saw iguanas, squirrels and beautiful birds while walking around the property, looking at the waterfalls and river. Inside the house was just as beautiful. Rainfall shower head, beautiful wooden table and nice clean everything!!! "

"The bungalow were in was partially under a tree and ut rained constantly for 18 hours. The constant water falling off the tree onto the roof was so LOUD,it made it impossible to hear each other talk. Sleep was impossible!. We planned a 3 night stay, but had leave after the first night. The bungalow was poorly designed with very poor lighting."
