"We loved the freedom to explore the rainforest right outside our door. We saw a wide variety of wildlife: howler monkeys, iguanas, motmots, tree frogs, hummingbirds.... Tirimbina also offers many different tours. We went on a night walk and our guide, Walter, was knowledgeable and very friendly. Overall we loved our time at Tirimbina."

"This place is an underappreciated gem. It lies on the banks of the Rio San Carlos with 24 individual cabins. The rooms are very spacious and nicely appointed. While the pictures show the cabins overlooking the river only around four or five of them actually do that. I spent three nights here in August, 2018. The property lies only 11 kilometers from the border with Nicaragua. This area is remote and very hot and humid and the cabins are not air conditioned but have a ceiling fan and a powerful...

"This is a beautiful ecolodge and very well managed by Pedro and his staff. Pedro goes out of his way to make your stay comfortable. Their food options are very creative and excellent especially since we were vegetarians. The place is remote and provides a true jungle experience while still having the basic amenities to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. They have well organized guided walks both at night and during the day, several of them covered within the reservation. "
