"The beach front was excellent. Live music at night and comfortable seating. Friendly staff for most part. Hard to get a stack of beach towels as they are out almost as soon as they get them in. My not complaint would be the room conditions. Old and dilapidated. Washroom had mold everywhere, the towel rack was broken. Wanted to spend the least amount possible in the room. Other than that, the beach was fantastic. Didn’t use the pool. "

"The staff was great. Alberto (el joven) was the best all around the whole week we were there! He is exceptionally attentive to our needs. Gave us recommendations and was always willing to lend a helping hand!! The bartender (older gentleman, can’t remember his name) was also great. Very friendly and attentive. The rooms were okay, nothing expectational. The staff was friendly and very helpful but Alberto (el joven) and the bartender took it over the top. We would stay there again. "

"I loved all of the foliage around the property. Bougainvilleas abound everywhere and provide habitat and shade for the beautiful birds and fascinating lizards. The architecture is gorgeous, with wood arched doors and a variety of staircases that make the different levels interesting. "We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was easy to access with a code to the entrance gate and another code to the room. Our room was simple and clean. The bathroom was functional, but we would prefer it to be a bit cleaner. The pipes needed a bleach or something because it was smelly at times."

"The location is amazing with beach access, dive shop, kiteboarding school downstairs and it is some view to wake up to. The condition is not as good as a chain hotel but that’s expected in a fishing village. The staff is simply heart warming. They will do their best to make you feel at home. "Mística Boutique Hotel is a beautiful new establishment that’s perfect for exploring the area and unwinding. The staff were incredibly professional and friendly, making the stay feel warm and welcoming. The property offers a relaxing atmosphere with stunning views of the ocean and surrounding landscape. With horses and friendly dogs on-site, it felt like a true retreat into nature. Highly recommend for anyone looking to recharge in a serene, thoughtfully designed environment."

Magical retreat

"This is now one of my favorite hotels EVER. The service is unmatched, in my opinion. The view is incredible -- it's worth every penny to stay here. The pool and food/drink service are amazing, grounds are beautiful. A lovely, lovely place. Perfect mid-March weather. Even with a few flaws, this is a 10/10 hotel. "

"Hôtel mignon avec des grandes chambres et une terrasse avec une vue lointaine sur la mer. Restaurant à l’hôtel, très bien même si c’était peu fréquenté en même il n’y a pas grand monde à El Cardonal. Personnels extrêmement serviable et sympathique "

"Hotel Palmas is a nice resort property on the beach. All the staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff and the restaurant staff were very nice and made us feel welcome. The room and premises were very clean and we enjoyed walking to shops and restaurants in town. We also enjoyed treatments at the small spa at the hotel. "

"Property is conveniently located in central Los Barilles. Beautiful setting well manicured lawns and trees surrounding the entire property. Outdoor pool patio area is excellent for laying out and just enjoying the sea of Cortes view. Restaurant upstairs was excellent. Staff was out of their way friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. Pricing was decent as well. "
