"Casita Tortuga is a charming, classy place for a couple to take in all that the Sea of Cortez has to offer just outside of Los Barriles.It's right on the water -- making it easy to enjoy the jubilant mobula rays, breaching humpback whales, sea birds, sunrise, and stars. It's also a great place from which to snorkel and kayak. For people who enjoy birding, as we do, you will appreciate that the well kept gardens and fruit trees attract a range of non-sea birds too.The hosts are responsive both before and during the stay. Our check in and check out went seamlessly.I really appreciate that the Casita is available for couples looking to rent a private place. Most VRBO homes are appropriate for 4 people, so you end up paying for empty space.We like to cook with fresh local ingredients, and appreciated that the kitchen is well stocked. I'd recommend Casita Tortuga to anyone looking for a special trip to the Gulf of California."

But if you’re looking to relax in a quiet, beautiful setting and enjoy the ocean, great attentive staff, wonderful food, and a beautiful area on the coast of the Sea of Cortez, you won’t be disappointed. "Beautiful property but Wi-Fi is poor to non existent. I guess when you are in paradise you shouldn’t need Wi-Fi but couldn’t stream anything. Enjoyed a little slice of paradise"

"First time at this wonderful hotel. Staff was super, friendly and helpful. They did some remodeling after we made our reservation, and we glad to accommodate us in the new room configuration. "

"The place was incredible! The road access was a little primitive. We made it fine but it would have been valuable to know that there was a more improved road available (That didn’t show up as an option on Google Maps). We would have gladly taken the longer more paved road to the property but saying that it was a tremendous location and property and we will definitely put it on our places to go back to."
