"Located just a couple of blocks outside downtown San Martin, the setting was very quiet with only the sounds of nature (lots of birds) punctuating the approach of the Argentine autumn. Cabins were spacious with full kitchens and comfortable beds. Gustavo -- self-exiled from Buenos Aires -- who runs the property, an informal tourism minister, was incredibly friendly and helpful and added to the overall warmth of the property, though his Rhodesian Ridgeback, India, would not give up the reception...

When we arrived tired from a 6-hour drive, the owner made for us the hot tub, which overlooks the impressive landscape, and that was a lovely experience. "The list of negatives could be endless. The room was very tiny and very old with lots of wear and tear. Our bags had to be placed on the floor; there were no bag racks.
