"The area around the property is so beautiful! I loved waking up in the morning & seeing the forest outside. My room was very clean and the front desk service very friendly. "The experience was what we expected. Very Japanese, quiet with beautiful gardens. They changed our booking from a room for 6 to three rooms for 2 each and had a nice garden view. "It’s worth noting that this is not a normal hotel but a traditional pilgrim’s lodging, so it is expected that you sleep on a mat on the floor and the facilities are relatively basic. You are staying here for the experience. The property was clean with onsen (hot bath) provided and our room had its own toilet/sink.
