"Stayed here with my husband for a few days to not only visit Big Bend, but Marfa, Ft Davis for stargazing, and experience the surrounding areas. This hotel, with an adobe/western vibe, offered a complimentary continental breakfast daily which was a good start to our exploring days. Its location in the nice little town of Alpine gave us more options of grocery shopping, etc than the other smaller, tho closer towns, to Big Bend. "

"Overall I would stay again. The property is up a short dirt road and was a bit hard to find but inside was wonderful. They couldn’t figure out the WiFi password but at least the tv was already connected. "

Perfect getaway!

"I hadn’t been to Alpine in 30 years, so when I booked this spot, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The location is fantastic with the grocery store around the corner. There is parking for two vehicles behind the home, and the house is fully fenced. The backyard is quiet and was great for a morning coffee and bird watch! Inside, the property was clean and adorable with a coffee maker, all the appliances, and dishes. There was attention to detail with treats for my dog and bags to pick up waste. The bathroom was a great size with nice hot water and towels. My teen boys were comfy on the futon and us in the bedroom. We played cards in the evenings and there were board games too! We will definitely return as it was a great home base for our trips to Big Bend, marfa, and Balmorhea (wow what a beautiful drive!) thank you to the hosts for the hospitality!"

Cute Stay in Alpine

"We enjoyed our stay at Holland House. Location was close to everything. We were even able to walk to some places to stretch our legs after a long car ride. House was clean and well stocked. Some of the doors stuck but that is to be expected in a historic home. The homes interior has been well taken care of. Holland House is a great jumping off point for Big Bend and other local sites of interest. We hope to stay again if we’re back in Alpine. "
