This tiny dwelling was exactly what we needed. Our children play football at the local university, and we drove into Alpine to watch the game and hang out. This small cabin was laid out well and quite comfortable. The bedding smelled freshly washed, and the furniture was inviting. We will definitely continue to book this cabin for future trips.

Someone had stayed and no one cleaned up afterwards. Tried to call the hostest and left several messages and they never returned my call. Had to get another hotel for the night. Tried to call Expedia and they have yet to call me back wothout putting me back on hold for over an hour. Had to hang up. Not happy!!!!!

House was nice for two nights, owner was responsive with questions and also had a nice little info book. Unfortunately it was super foggy when we went so cannot comment on the star gazing deck but would imagine that and the view from the bed are great when it's clear!

Location was perfect for stargazing! The deck was a nice feature. You can see wildlife walking by, the neighborhood is quiet & the residence are friendly. This was a very peaceful place to stay for a city get away.

Convenient but bugs
Convenient location to McDonald Observatory (50 mins) but there were bugs under the pillows and around the unit. We didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the bed but we arrived too late in the day to drive around and find somewhere else to stay. Property is at the end of a dirt road but still felt secure. Easy keypad to access unit.

Great place to stay on our visit to Big Bend! The cabin was clean, everything was ready for us when we arrived. The host left their number but we didn’t end up needing anything. The skydeck was really fun. Highly recommended!

Great for one or two!
This was our first time to Alpine. The neighborhood was nice. We went for walks each day. I would warn visitors about these little demons called grass burrs, sticker burrs sand spur.

Good location but needs a good cleaning
There were several good things about this place. The sky deck was very enjoyable. The little "cabin" is cute. The location is great for someone who needs to walk a dog. The owner made check in very easy. However, the bathroom floor and shower were not clean. (We wore our shoes) The microwave had to be moved and the top of it and the fridge were filthy. It was dirty behind the trash and in the corners of the room. The sheets and bedding didn't seem clean. We gave this place a 4 anyway because there were so many other good things. If this place had a good cleaning it would be fantastic. :)

Property was easy to find. Upon arrival there were a few things that we noticed that needed attention. The property needs some maintenance and upkeep. When contacting the owners they responded and quickly fixed the problems we contacted them about. Overall the stay was average and would be better with some preventative maintenance and cleaning.

The place is adequate. If you are not as agile anymore it is a tall step to get up to the door. There are a plethora of electric sockets but no lamps in living area. There is a big overhead light, however. We needed two beds and the pullout couch bed is not very comfortable. it is listed as having a futon as second bed. The bed area had up to date reading lights. There was mold around shower stall, but, the rest of the place was clean. The rental fee was okay, but, it is a really small place and they should not charge that much for cleaning such a small area.

Our visit
The bed was very comfortable. Kitchen area was clean with plenty of dishes and necessities. Bathroom was nicely laid out Wi-Fi was out last 24 hrs or so. Deck needs X-brace as when two adults are up there it wobbles somewhat. Kinda scary. View is great but wobble makes it less comfortable. Loved the area. Quiet and the view of the nighttime sky is awesome. Travel to MARFA, FORT DAVIS and surrounding attractions perfectly situated. Sul Ross museum great to go through. Very close by.
