"This was our first time to the the Netherlands! I pestered Kimberley with questions when booking! She was amazing and put up with my pestering with grace! The property was exactly as advertised; well appointed and very comfortable. Kimberley was there to greet us and I appreciate her info about the local area so much. We took the train into Amsterdam. I think it's best to have a car - or be proficient on a bike. I'd be afraid I'd go down like a shot cow with all those brilliant bikers around!...

"We had a really relaxing time here. The cottage is small but that suited us, and the view across the fields filled with all kind of wildlife was superb (not forgetting the chickens next to us and the three walking ducks!). And the huge windmill next to the canal is something to behold. Hans, the host, was really welcoming and helpful and if you want to lean more about the windmill then Google 'Vrouwgeest windmill' and learn how it has been in his family since 1797. "Great accomodation set in the National Park of Utrechtse. Our cabin was in a lovely location positioned to give privacy and ease of access. We had plenty of natural light (we noted that some units were very shady). Very clean and well equipped. Spacious and comfortable. The parc had a lovely indoor pool with a splash pool for younger children and a flume for those more daring. The bistro on site closes the kitchen quite early in the evening so we were unable to try this. The on site mini market...

"We had a wonderful time! The room we were in was in a loft type location, with a very steep ladder style access to our room. The coffee machine was broken unfortunately so we went out for our morning coffee. The room was clean, and our host was very attentive. There is one other room in the same building that we shared the bathroom with, which was not an issue for us. We would stay here again!"

"Lake House 74 exceeded our expectations! We were a group of 6 - 2 couples with our adult children. The location of the house was perfect - just outside of Leiden, situated along a canal. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Stephan was easy to contact, very responsive to all of our requests, and made us feel at home. He also had great suggestions for local activities. Be sure to rent a boat and drive through the canals to get to the center of Leiden. I would stay here again...
