"Very cosy and private hotel with extremely attentive staff and service. With just a few rooms in total, it provides a very intimate experience and feels almost like a private experience. Large room with great amenities and a priceless view of the entire Yufuin and mountain backdrop. Meals were a private dining experience and food quality is superb."

"Waranino is heaven on earth. Unlike traditional ryokan, this is utterly modern and beautifully set in a wooded glen. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. "A really lovely stay at a Japanese guesthouse run by a very sweet old couple. The house is in immaculate condition with charming touches everywhere. "宿泊者が2組というびっくり。チェックインのとき、30分後に食事と言われ、これまたびっくり。こちらから指定ができずお風呂もそこそこにすぐに食事となる。前日に宿泊確認の電話があったときに、19時ぐらいになると伝えたのだから、その時に食事の時間を言って欲しかった。 また、「お部屋を広い部屋にしました」と、しかしそこは身障者用で、キーが膝下あたりにあり、とてもしにくく、また、お部屋も広すぎて、トイレも遠くそして、広すぎて落ち着かない。 多分、2組だけだから1つの階にまとめたかったんだと思うけど…これは、そちらの都合であって、私達は不満でたまらなかった。部屋は、元に戻してもらった。 また、氷をお願いしたら有料330円。今まで色んなホテルに宿泊したけど、有料って初めてであった。 コロナウイルスで宿泊者が少なく、なんとか経費を押さえてしようとするのはわかるけど、宿泊目線でないことにとても残念であった。"

"I enjoyed staying here, but there are some things that can be improved. The air filter in the bathroom had not been cleared in a really long time, if ever. No one has dusted behind the TV in quite some time. I stayed for two weeks, but was only given 1 role of toilet paper and a meager amount of dish soap. The lighting outside is very dim and I was worried about slipping when come back in the evening when it had rained. It would also be helpful to have instructions in English for the appliances....
