"Kevin and Tracey were the perfect hosts. I booked the room very short notice after arriving in Ambleside but was greeted by Kevin who showed me where to park, my room, and pointed out the best pubs and restaurants to visit in the evening. "A lovely place run by a very nice couple. They prioritised cleaning our room to ensure we could check in early to get ready for a wedding. We had a cozy double and although small was great for a one night stay. The bed was comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was amazing too. All in all, a lovely place to stay (with the added advantage of onsite parking in the centre of Windermere) "

"This proved to be one of the superior B&Bs we have ever used. Apart from the comfort and cleanliness we discovered two small brownies and two KitKats on the tea tray. Breakfast was delicious - porridge, fresh fruit salad, any cereals, full breakfasts and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon . Very inexpensive."

"Is a cosy stay. Was a bit outdated but staff were excellent and welcoming and beds were comfy and clean. Full cooked breakfast and very accomadating for different foods. Sad to hear they had are retiring and closing. Tip if it reopens is the car park oppoaite does early bird parking for £1 if you get a ticked after 8pm and is valid all day. "

"I had a great time here. Great location you're very close train station and where most buses go. It's about 20 minutes walk down to Bowness. Both Michelle and Christopher very frendly. I would recommend this guest house. Lots of bars and restraunts near by as well. "
