"Francis Marion was a great place to stay. Its right in the historical district of Charleston. Its in a great shopping area along King street. I liked The Swamp Fox restaurant for breakfast and several dinners. The staff in this hotel was helpful and friendly. I am a retired senior traveling solo and felt this was a great place to stay. My room was very clean. I even rode in a bicycle taxi twice and went on four tours while in Charleston. There is a free city bus that drives along King street and I used that also. I won't hesitate to come back and stay here. I had a Harborside room wirh a view of the 4th of July fireworks. There is a Starbucks at street level and a french pasteria at The Hotel Bennett one block up."
