"The staff are nice and welcoming and the location is not really far from the city center I was lucky with the room as they give me nice spacious room but it was cold at nights as the heating was not working and I see similar many reviews about the heating problem too been cold.."

"If you are expecting 5* luxury then this might not be the place for you. However if just a quick stopover it’s not too bad at all. The rooms are functional and I personally found the bed very comfortable. This is a basic room at a value price, if you are paying for a cheap room, then expect a cheap room. Personally it was fine both price wise and comfort wise and for an overnight stay I would use again. "

"I am cautious of staying in pubs because of the risk of noise, but there was no problem with this one. The room was clean well maintained, there are fast food outlets nearby Blantyre station is a 10 min walk and it was reasonably priced. I don't know if the pub does food as I didn't use it, there is no breakfast, but as I was away before 08.00 it didn't matter to me. Would use again"

"We enjoyed our stay - the room was large and spacious, however it would have been helpful to have a small fridge. We stayed for the week but the first night seemed to be karaoke night, so it was on the loud side until about midnight All in all the space was great"

"We had a very good stay, great location and everything we could expect from this hotel. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Only slight issue is parking but resolved by free parking a few minutes walk. Would recommend especially if travelling by train."

"Overall, a really good stay and excellent value for money. The decor etc. is quite dated and a little tired in places, but comfortable and generally clean, and the owner was extremely helpful and welcoming. A great breakfast with good quality ingredients. Some attention to detail with cleaning would be helpful - eg some mould in shower, and bathroom fan grill quite grimy, the odd cobweb, and some accumulated dust in nooks and crannies. "The bedroom appeared to be clean but when I moved one of the beds and a bedside cabinet there was rubbish behind and under the furniture. I had to move the bed to gain access to the wardrobe. The bathroom, however, was not clean at all. There was rubbish on the floor and it was filthy. The shower door didn’t open fully because the sink was in the way. The room was so small it was awful. The shower door did not close properly as it was warped at the bottom. We didn’t use it whilst we were there...

"Communication from Nick was 1st class, very good customer service. Have stayed a few times now. The studio i was in this time, waa clean and well presented. The only issues was the floor was creaky going to the en suite. Also the firestick didn't have any sound which it did in the other studio. Not a huge problem, but a smart tv would be a good solution.
